Everything about these wedding photos makes me smile.  A truly lovely couple, stunning images by Nicole Haley Photography, peonies at the peak of their season, and a day spent in some of my favorite places in Ann Arbor - the peony garden and the University of Michigan Muesum of Art.  Did I mention these images are stunning?  Wow!  I feel so lucky to have been a part of this couple's beautiful, joyful day!

The wedding flowers featured classes white peony bouquets for the ladies and white ranunculus boutonnieres for the gents.  These stunning peonies were sourced locally from Bridgewater Gardens.

It was a beautiful day for photos at the law school quad and outside UMMA...

For the reception, each rectangular table had two arrangements of white hydrangea in rectangular matte grey vases creating an elegant, sophisticated look.

And a sweet arrangement for the sweetheart table...

I'm so excited to share these photos from a spring wedding at the Gandy Dancer, captured by wonderful Yana Benjamin.  The wedding colors were yellow and burgundy, with hints of other seasonal colors in the bridesmaids' bouquets.  I loved how the burgundy ranunculus added depth and texture to the rest of the spring palette:

The bride's bouquet featured yellow garden roses, burgundy ranunculus, alchemilla mollis, peach juliet garden roses, yellow freesia and dusty miller.  The bridesmaids included coral charm peonies, peach parrot tulips, and peach and yellow garden roses along with dusty miller.

I wanted to share a few little pieces from this past weekend's weddings... sometimes it's the small details that can be exciting and memorable.  I'm still thinking about these days later...  

For this outdoor wedding at the groom's parents' farm in Saline, the boutonniere had a touch of rustic and wildflower with yellow craspedia and delicate blue nigella.  I just love the soft, spindly parts of the nigella.

And for this gorgeous bride with a wedding at Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, this petite haircomb with a stunning white ranunculus and yellow craspedia was so glamorous next to her birdcage veil.

I'm so excited to share these photos with you from C & S's early spring wedding (it was a sunny and crisp Michigan day in March!).  The ceremony was in Saline and reception at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor, and a photo stop at Mathaei Botanic Gardens in between.  The lovely images are from Amy Kimball Photography, and you can see more on her blog. I loved the design brief with bright, bold colors, and the beautiful colors throughout the whole celebration - it was a beautiful, joyful day, and a really kind, fun group of people. Thank you C & S, and congratulations to you!

The bridal party bouquets featured mango calla lilies, orange freesia, gold and purple orchids, orange pincusion proteas, pink protea, orange tulips.

Groom with groomsmen and adorable ring bearers.  Groomsmen's boutonnieres featured bright purple orchids, and the groom also had a splash of orange with the stunning orange freesia -- so big and beautiful!

I loved this couple's request for a very natural, green, herb-themed look for their wedding flowers at Wellers in Saline, Michigan.  We planned mostly greens and foliages and herbs - with just a few pops of color from burgundy and purple dahlias.  The flowers were so beautiful, subtle and natural, and it smelled fantastic!  I can't wait to share the professional photos of this one, such a stunning couple. The herbal bridal bouquet featured burgundy dahlias, poppy pods, succulents, alchemilla mollis, fresh mint and geranium foliage, handtied with mint green grosgrain ribbon.

 The bridesmaid bouquet was made of purple dahlia, blue delphinium, scabiosa pods and fresh mint and dill.

So excited that this lovely photo shoot at Zingermans Events on Fourth was featured in Great Lakes Love!  I was delighted to do the florals, featuring a bridal bouquet with purple and white clematis, pale pink french tulips, and burgundy snapdragons.  

The tablescape featured a curved arrangement of textured foliages to take full advantage of the square table center, and the giant succulents added touch of whimsy.

I loved this bouquet for an autumn wedding at the University of Michigan Union.  The bride wanted flowers that looked autumnal but also more bright and colorful than the more traditional reds, oranges and golds of the season.  The end result featured orange and purple dahlias, blue anemone, scabiosa pods, red ranunculus, red zinnia, yellow scabiosa pods and geranium and bluplurum foliages.  I can't wait to get the pro images back on this one- so much color; it was a beautiful wedding!   Congratulations C &K!  

Summer seems a long way away now!  These images make me so look forward to sunny days, green grass, and summer blooms!  I loved creating this combination of purples with soft peaches to add depth and texture to the arrangements.  It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day at Stonebridge Golf Club.

The bride's bouquet featured peach juliet garden roses, purple dendrobium orchids, purple coolwater roses, purple lisianthus and accents of seeded eucalyptus.

Vases of purple mokara orchids added a bright pop of color to the tables combined with the bride's beautiful hand-made watercolor prints
