It was such a joy when Jocelyn called me to discuss wedding flowers for her September intimate wedding. It was all being arranged in a few weeks time, in a flurry of excitement, joy, and fun. I remember thinking that her friends and family must be feeling all of that with something to look forward to, in a season with so many things being cancelled. This was such a joy! All the colors!! It’s such a privilege when a client asks for something bold and untraditional and beautiful and lets you run with the design. And when I saw this gorgeous brown dress - totally inspired! It was an honor to get to create these pieces for M&A’s Gandy Dancer wedding. There's something special about the colors of autumn in Ann Arbor and the special tones of autumnal flowers that excites me every year. Autumn brings in the most amazing dahlias and knock-out chrysanthemums, berries and textures and foliages and it's just a special time to be designing. I loved creating these pieces for a wedding celebration at the Gandy Dancer in downtown Ann Arbor, coordinated by Twofoot Creative. These centerpieces and accent pieces featured golden chrysanthemums, orange ranunculus, burgundy snapdragons, blush spray roses, campanella peach roses, seeded eucalyptus, olive branches (with olives!), burgundy dahlias, blue privet berries, and a gold succulents, in a gold compote dish. So thankful for this autumn abundance!

The ceremony was at beautiful St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the reception at the lovely and historic Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor. Gorgeous hair and make-up by the talented ladies of Imagine Three. It was a perfect autumn day for these two! Pure joy! And I love these adorable handbags!
The wedding flowers were a bright jewel-toned palate that was both seasonal and sophisticated. The bride's bouquet featured orange, burgundy and fuchsia dahlias (sourced locally), white ranunculus, blue anemone, peach juliet garden roses, blue viburnum berries and green viburnum opulus.
It's always so lovely working with the Gandy Dancer - lovely, elegant cake!
I'm so excited to share these photos from a spring wedding at the Gandy Dancer, captured by wonderful Yana Benjamin. The wedding colors were yellow and burgundy, with hints of other seasonal colors in the bridesmaids' bouquets. I loved how the burgundy ranunculus added depth and texture to the rest of the spring palette:
The bride's bouquet featured yellow garden roses, burgundy ranunculus, alchemilla mollis, peach juliet garden roses, yellow freesia and dusty miller. The bridesmaids included coral charm peonies, peach parrot tulips, and peach and yellow garden roses along with dusty miller.
