Winter flower crown and boutonnieres

A few quick snapshots of the floral crown and cute bouts from this winter wedding at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor.  I love to let my inner 6-year-old create the flower crown I would have loved at that age! flower girl hairpiece winter wedding boutonnieres groom wedding boutonniere

Boutonnieres featured yellow craspedia, red spray roses, silver brunia, seeded eucalyptus foliage, and blue eryngium.  Love this mix of colors with a pop of silver for a winter wedding!

Modern Detroit wedding at Rattlesnake Club

It was such a pleasure to work with Aisha at Dooby Design Group on the flowers for this modern, elegant wedding at the Rattlesnake Club in Detroit.  Aisha has so many great ideas and a fresh, modern approach to styling.  The flowers feature an all-ivory bouquet for the bride with garden roses and astilbe and bright, textured bouquets for the bridesmaids with huge, locally-sourced raspberry pink peonies, purple dahlias, blue eryngium and purple waxflower.  I loved how the mix of fluffy peonies and striking textured elements popped with the teal bridesmaids dresses.  What a stunning bridal party!  All captured so elegantly by Jean Smith Photography. bridesmaids bouquets by red poppy floral design modern wedding flowers by red poppy floral design modern wedding flowers teal bridesmaids

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone!  It's been a great busy time of holiday and wedding arrangements, and I whipped up these eclectic arrangements with the left-over flowers.  Off to find a nursing home where I hope these will make someone's day!   What a pleasure this is - thank you all for your support this year, and all the best to you and your families this holiday season! UMMA reception in soft peach and ivory

It was such a pleasure to work with Giselle and John on the flowers for their reception at the beautiful University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) in Ann Arbor.  It was even more fun when my husband peeked at the order and said "Hey, I know him - he was one of my professors in grad school!"  It's nice to be part of a small world! Thank you, Nicole Haley Photography for these gorgeous images!

In these centerpieces:  white hydrangea, peach juliet garden roses, white eskimo roses and ivory spray roses
