Flower crown

I have loved doing flower crowns this summer - and now it's for brides as well as flower girls, or even all the bridesmaids - just love making these and love how it adds a natural touch to the overall look.  This flower crown for Alexa's Zingerman's Cornman Farms in Dexter was such a favorite!  Just loved the bold colors with raspberry pink garden roses, blush majolica spray roses, peach and orange ranunculus.  Thank you Melanie Reyes Photography for this beautiful image! flower crown at zingermans cornman farms wedding

Oh how this pink romantic antike garden rose stole the show!  I could not take my eyes off these the whole time we were designing these centerpieces for a sophisticated garden wedding reception at Earhart Manor in Ann Arbor.  Centerpieces also included white anemone, queen anne's lace, orange free spirit roses, peach ranunculus, blush quicksand and fado roses and white majolica roses together with succulents and textured foliages.

Alexa and Tony at Zingermans Cornman Farms

It was a perfect summer day on the farm for Alexa and Tony's wedding day at Zingerman's Cornman Farms.  I just loved creating all these flowers with bold colors and textures - bold reds, oranges and raspberries along with blush and peach and lots of lush greens.  We loved creating the ceremony decor at the front porch of the farmhouse - such a gorgeous space and adding foliage garlands and floral accent for a pop of color seemed so perfect.  Thank you so much to the truly talented Melanie Reyes for these beautiful images - so many beautiful moments!  Congratulations Tony and Alexa!

wedding flower donation

I wouldn't normally post photos of centerpieces after the wedding, but... these had so much good life left in them and so much joy left to share!  It was so generous of Emily and Aniket to donate their wedding flowers and Arbor Hospice was so thrilled to receive these!  It's one of my favorite places to go on the Monday after a wedding weekend, they have flower volunteers, and I can bring them any left over flowers or in this case whole arrangements!, and they share the flowers around.  Thank you all - so happy to be a part of sharing this joy around!

The day after the wedding, these centerpieces still were lovely!

Intimate and sweet downtown ann arbor wedding

This was such a lovely intimate, cozy, warm, sophisticated celebration in downtown Ann Arbor - so loved getting to be a part of this!  Vinology was a perfect spot - it felt so cozy and a special place to celebrate with  friends and family!  I loved getting to create the arch design for the ceremony with curly willow branches and white orchids - adding a touch of nature and designating the ceremony space.  And it was my first time to visit the new Residence Inn Downtown Ann Arbor  - such a lovely spot to get ready for an Ann Arbor wedding, and perfect for guests to be able to walk to downtown activities!  So many great images from The Billings - thank you so much, beaming bride and groom so beautifully captured!

For Jenn's bouquet, we used amnesia, little silver, earl grey, and pink O'Hara garden roses, together with white freesia, white majolica spray roses, seeded eucalyptus and mini pittosporum foliages.

President's house flowers

It is such a privilege to create flowers for the UM President's House.  Living in Ann Arbor, my husband and I always explain to friends and family how this place seems so special because it has the ease of a small town but a disproportionate amount of neat things going on - art, culture, sport - amazing people from around the world thinking and doing amazing things - it's really quite special.  And I love getting to feel like I'm a part of those special things going on in Ann Arbor when I get to bring flowers for events at the President's House.  Here are just a few recent favorites!

This bouquet of parrot tulips and orchids was for the dinner guest of honor.

Cornman Farms Winter wedding

Zingerman's Cornman Farms is a treat anytime of year.  This was my first time arriving for a winter wedding, and it was just magical.  It was a clear, chilly, January day with blue skies and fresh snow, and it just felt so cozy everywhere.   The smell of fresh coffee and pastries wafted through the main house where everyone was getting ready.  The fireplace was being prepared for the reception in the barn.  As we were setting up I just kept thinking how perfect this seems - there was no where else in the world I would want to be - a perfect cozy January day.  I felt really charmed by the idea of a January wedding all of a sudden, and I think with these gorgeous photos by Curtis Wicklund, you will too!  Congratulations and thank you Mathangi and Charlie for letting me be a part of your very special day - I truly enjoyed every minute of it!

January City club wedding

This wedding made me love January weddings.  Everything about this was lovely and romantic, and it just felt so special to have family and friends gathering on a chilly snowy day in January. The first thing bride Hillary told me about her wedding style "it's very Rifle Paper Co.!"  And that totally clicked for the flower style for me.  She sent me an image of her gorgeous floral stationery (love these invitations so much!) and we put together a recipe of burgundy, pink, peach, ivory garden roses with lovely pink pepperberries and seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus foliages.

For the centerpieces, Hillary suggested all eucalyptus in gold compotes - and I just so loved how this came together.  We added a eucalyptus table runner with gold votive candle accents down the head table, and it all looked so warm and colorful.   The Ann Arbor City Club was lovely and cozy for getting ready and so convenient for the ceremony at First Presbyterian Church, and then back to the City Club for the reception.  It was all so lovely.

Thank you so much to Laurie Wilson Photography for these beautiful images!  I really did love these so much I could not be more excited about them.

Most of all, congratulations to Hillary and Craig, and thank you so much for entrusting me with these flowers for your wedding.  I truly loved it - I had really been looking forward to this wedding!  Hillary - you have such fabulous design ideas, I just hope I was able to keep up and create pieces you loved!  I loved creating them!

Zinnias and peppers!

Throwback to when these were all in season, and we created these bright and colorful arrangements for a joy-filled wedding shower.  I loved creating these arrangements with local zinnias of so many colors, sunflowers, mini ornamental peppers on the vine, and a host of local foliages.  It is so wonderful to be able to work with fantastic local farmers to get beautiful blooms like these! wedding shower centerpiece decor
