As we keep our fingers crossed for spring (!) I'm remembering some outside highlights of last season and so grateful to share these images of Sunset Cove B&B. This wedding was beautiful, and Sunset Cove is just so magical and special and intimate. I couldn't believe this retreat was so close to Ann Arbor! So grateful to Cat Carty Buswell for sharing these. I loved these bright, joyful arrangements!
Chelsea and Jake's summer Cornman Farms wedding was beautiful, natural, joyful - lots of lush green foliage, natural textures, and dahlias! Oh these dahlias! - in ivory, champagne, blush - dahlias dahlias everywhere! The ceremony arch with green foliages and floral accents of dahlias was just perfectly seasonal and soft. And for the table centerpieces the greenery was again the star - we modified the look of a foliage garland and made it into a ring with flower clusters accenting and pillar candles in the center with gold accents.
It was such a joy to meet Chelsea on her wedding day. Planning from California, we didn't get to meet in person until her wedding morning, and it's always really special to meet those brides for the first time at such a special time.

Lisa and Jason's wedding was truly beautiful in every way. And I am just so thrilled that these amazing images by Niki Marie Photo speak for themselves - I'm struggling to explain the love, the loveliness, the joy.. but it's captured... like a thousand words. Thank you Niki - these are amazing!
The first time that Lisa and I talked about her bouquet I wrote down "SHOWSTOPPER!" - and I was so excited that Lisa gave me the green light to go for something spectactular!
I also feel a little sad posting this because I miss emailing and chatting with Lisa - she is one of those people with a genuine warmth that comes through from the very first minute. I just felt so lucky to be able to work with her and get to know her, and I was looking forward to this wedding for months and months. And everything about Lisa and Jason's day at Weller's carriage house in Saline was warm and joyful and truly beautiful. Seriously beautiful. Like the shoes Lisa designed herself! I loved working in lots of little accents of champagne gold and navy along with the mauve and blush tones - so much sophisticated, gardeny pretty!
Thank you Lisa and Jason - I felt truly lucky to be a part of your celebration. Big love to you guys! YOU were the SHOWSTOPPERS that day - so much joy and love coming through this celebration!
A little about the flowers here... we used a mix of blush, champagne, mauve, ivory blooms and lots of lush foliages and clusters of champagne gold berries. For the ceremony space, we hung champagne gold terracotta pots from macrame hangars filled with a lush mix of blooms. We loved how the mix of heights helped to frame the ceremony space and make it more intimate for Lisa and Jason.
Autumn dahlia love at this gorgeous wedding at Frutig Farms Misty Farm. Misty always feels like such an oasis, yet so close to Ann Arbor! Bride Rachel is a dahlia lover, and I was looking forward to this wedding all year, bringing in over 400 dahlias from amazing local growers. Especially loved decorating the arch at Misty for Rachel's ceremony - full of blush, peach, burgundy dahlias and snapdragons. It was a beautiful celebration with lots of special details, and we were so honored to create these pieces! Thank you so much to Nicole Haley who captured this wedding so beautifully!
A perfect autumn day for a campus wedding at the Michigan League for Miriam and Daniel! It was a true joy to be a part of this celebration with so many personal and fun details at the Michigan League Ballroom and such a joyful group! Loved setting up the chuappah flowers for their ceremony in the courtyard garden and the mix of merlot and champagne tones with lots of texture in the flowers. Congratulations Katherine and Brian! It was such a pleasure to get to design in Zingerman's new downtown Ann Arbor space in the old greyhound bus station - the Greyline. Katherine and Brian had a beautiful wedding day and it was so wonderful to be able to add lush, natural greens and splashes of burgundies to the space. So many lovely green textures, including giant foliage garlands draping the mirrors in the entryway and at the cake table. So excited to share these images from Emily & Aniket's summer wedding celebration at Earhart Manor. Alison from First Comes Love Photo captured so many sweet and fun moments - baby toes! dancing in the the rain! flower girl twirling! So many moments that I know will be precious to Emily and Aniket when they look back on their special day. So many wonderful details coordinated by Julie of J. Eliza Events (and Julie includes a lovely description of the day and epic rainstorm on her blog) - it was so great to be a part of this celebration, and Emily and Aniket even generously donated their flowers to Arbor Hospice afterward (I couldn't believe how great these flowers still looked the day after). On the floral side, we were so excited by these bright, bold colors - jewel tones paired with more muted peaches and blushes, a foliage garland accented with flowers and gold and silver candles down the head table, and foliage garlands for the couple's hindu ceremony. So excited to share this, and so lovely to be a part of this lovely celebration!
This wedding made me love January weddings. Everything about this was lovely and romantic, and it just felt so special to have family and friends gathering on a chilly snowy day in January. The first thing bride Hillary told me about her wedding style "it's very Rifle Paper Co.!" And that totally clicked for the flower style for me. She sent me an image of her gorgeous floral stationery (love these invitations so much!) and we put together a recipe of burgundy, pink, peach, ivory garden roses with lovely pink pepperberries and seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus foliages.
For the centerpieces, Hillary suggested all eucalyptus in gold compotes - and I just so loved how this came together. We added a eucalyptus table runner with gold votive candle accents down the head table, and it all looked so warm and colorful. The Ann Arbor City Club was lovely and cozy for getting ready and so convenient for the ceremony at First Presbyterian Church, and then back to the City Club for the reception. It was all so lovely.

So talented Kathy Davies Photography captured these stunning images of Rachel and Anthony's beautiful summer wedding at Misty Farm Events in Ann Arbor. Rachel and Anthony had a morning ceremony and a brunch reception, which not only meant a fantastic and creative menu (I love brunch food!) but also a really memorable summer setting in the morning light. Rachel and Anthony had such an eye for charming details - I loved their vintage suitcase on the card table, and they provided lovely vintage bottles and vases for the flowers. A little bit vintage, classic, rustic, and elegant all in one.
It was such a joy working with this thoughtful and creative couple on their flower design - they wanted lovely colors - orange, peach, coral, pink, blue - and seasonal textures, and they really let me run with a wide variety of blooms and the best of the season.
Rachel's bridal bouquet featured orange free spirit roses, orange and yellow poppies, yellow parrot tulips, peach juliet garden roses, blue scabiosa, mint geranium foliage, fresh mint, lady's mantle, and dusty miller.
The centerpieces included coral charm peonies, finesse roses, peach juliet garden roses, white ranunculus, blue nigella, dusty miller, mint geranium foliage and peach parrot tulips.
