All the colors!! It’s such a privilege when a client asks for something bold and untraditional and beautiful and lets you run with the design. And when I saw this gorgeous brown dress - totally inspired! It was an honor to get to create these pieces for M&A’s Gandy Dancer wedding. So much color and texture and a little bit of all the autumn ombre colors! Thank you Alison of First Comes Love Photo for these stunning images.
All the autumn colors and textures coming together in this one! Anna and Fletcher had a beautiful wedding at Frutig Farms Misty Farm in Ann Arbor with a beautiful outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Anna asked for all the colors and textures of fall, and there were dahlias, scabiosa, berries, amaranthus, garden roses in all the blush, golden, rust, burgundy, purple tones of the season. The head table featured foliage garlands and centerpieces all down a long captain’s table. And the beautiful cake by Sweet Heather Anne featured all the autumnal colors. All these gorgeous images are by Amanda Dumouchelle - she captured so much joy with this group! Congratulations Anna & Fletcher!
Lisa and Jason's wedding was truly beautiful in every way. And I am just so thrilled that these amazing images by Niki Marie Photo speak for themselves - I'm struggling to explain the love, the loveliness, the joy.. but it's captured... like a thousand words. Thank you Niki - these are amazing!
The first time that Lisa and I talked about her bouquet I wrote down "SHOWSTOPPER!" - and I was so excited that Lisa gave me the green light to go for something spectactular!
I also feel a little sad posting this because I miss emailing and chatting with Lisa - she is one of those people with a genuine warmth that comes through from the very first minute. I just felt so lucky to be able to work with her and get to know her, and I was looking forward to this wedding for months and months. And everything about Lisa and Jason's day at Weller's carriage house in Saline was warm and joyful and truly beautiful. Seriously beautiful. Like the shoes Lisa designed herself! I loved working in lots of little accents of champagne gold and navy along with the mauve and blush tones - so much sophisticated, gardeny pretty!
Thank you Lisa and Jason - I felt truly lucky to be a part of your celebration. Big love to you guys! YOU were the SHOWSTOPPERS that day - so much joy and love coming through this celebration!
A little about the flowers here... we used a mix of blush, champagne, mauve, ivory blooms and lots of lush foliages and clusters of champagne gold berries. For the ceremony space, we hung champagne gold terracotta pots from macrame hangars filled with a lush mix of blooms. We loved how the mix of heights helped to frame the ceremony space and make it more intimate for Lisa and Jason.
There is so much to love about this sweet autumn wedding, and the first thing I can think of as I sit to write about it is how grateful I am to Whitney and Jake that I got to be a part of it. I just genuinely enjoyed every part of talking with Whitney, planning the flowers, receiving their lovely stationery in the mail that Jake made himself, arriving at Zingerman's Cornman Farms in Dexter and seeing how much fun this wedding party was having getting ready. It was all such a treat, and then after I saw a few teaser photos from First Comes Love Photo, featuring some adorable goats, I could not wait to see Alison's photos, and they are seriously amazing. I am so, so grateful to her for sharing these, and so thrilled for Whitney and Jake to have such a lovely capture of their day. For more of the details and story, visit First Comes Love Photo's blog - thank you, Alison! Warmest congratulations and thanks to Whitney and Jake!
Whitney's bouquet was a bit natural, a bit romantic, a bit autumnal... lots of lovely textures and foliages and blooms in blush, raspberry, cranberry, and ivory.
Whitney's bouquet featured peach juliet garden roses, burgundy dahlia, hot majolica spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, blue viburnum berries, and a mix of textured foliages
Groom and groomsmen's boutonniere's featured ranunculus, majolica roses, and dahlia with foliage and berry accents
Petite bouquets decorated the aisles on the intimate round seating for the ceremony in front of the lovely white house at cornman farms.
And there were goats!!
Centerpieces for the guest tables featured compotes in a white marble design and a clear glass design, filled with blush, pink, burgundy and ivory blooms with textured foliages and berries.
The head table had a foliage garland down the center, with vases to add the bridal party's bouquets for a pop of color.
