It was the best of the dahlia season for Colleen and David’s Lovett Hall wedding at The Henry Ford in Dearborn. Thanks to Forget Me Not Farms, it was the most spectacular collection of dahlias in every color with beautiful foliages and textures and berries. Colleen let us run with the color and it was such a joy to get to create these pieces. We had the pleasure of creating the flowers for Colleen’s cousin’s wedding a few years ago and it’s such an honor to be asked back for another celebration within the family. I’m so excited about Circ Bar in downtown Ann Arbor! Circ Bar will be hosting weddings starting this year and I got to be a part of a really fun wedding shoot with the team at Circ and Nicole Haley Photography. It’s so beautiful! There is so much space, so many possibilities, lots of brick and urban character, a gorgeous bar area with tons of light and a fireplace, and… the most gorgeous outdoor patio. Ok, we did this in January, so we didn’t get to use the patio, but it will be amazing in the warmer months! And it’s all right in the heart of downtown! Can’t wait to do events here - it’s going to be amazing!

It was a gorgeous crisp autumn morning when we got to create this mandap design at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. It was really special to be setting up at sunrise and loved so much how this mandap design on the structure from Modernly Events turned out. And shortly after this clouds started rolling in, but the rain held off until just as the ceremony was finishing - phew! It was a special honor to be a part of Amanda and Matt’s Zingerman’s Cornman Farms wedding. Amanda has taught both of my children as babies and then toddlers. I can remember meeting Amanda in the baby room at my daughter Zoe’s school when she was about 10 months old, and we have been fortunate enough to have Amanda with our daughter and then our son. Her love as a teacher has been such a gift! So it was special and personal to get to be a part of Amanda’s wedding day with Matt! It was a great vendor team, getting to work with the very talented Luna Soiree Events, and we’re so grateful for these fantastic images by Nicole Haley Photography - these are magic!

Kate and Shaun’s beautiful summer wedding was full of family and joy and we were so excited to create these beautiful floral pieces. The inspiration was natural textures, lush white and blush blooms, succulents and greens, and it was all styled with a natural gardeny feel. Their ceremony was at gorgeous St. Thomas’ church in downtown Ann Arbor, with the reception at the Eagle Crest Marriott in Ypsilanti. When I received these images from K.R. Moreno it was so apparent how much joy these families shared on their special day - they really captured so much happiness in these gorgeous images! Mackenna and Joel had a beautiful summer wedding at Frutig Farms The Valley, captured by fantastic Melanie Reyes Photography. The flowers had so many lush greens and textures, soft whites and blushes, and lots of textured greens like hellebore and camellia foliage. The barn was filled with warm candlelight and pretty soft gold accents - it was a fantastic day with beautiful details. Congratulations Mackenna and Joel!
