Up next in my series of thoughts from proposal season: Budgets. It always feels a bit forward to ask about budget early on the consultation process. Most people don’t have much of an idea how much event flowers cost, so I get that it feels like a hard question to answer. But if you can give me a range, I can give you better advice and guidance. There are so many variables - quantities and varieties of flowers, size and cost of vases, rentals for candles, glassware, etc. When we connect, I want to hear what your design priorities are and match that with your target budget, and design a plan to get you as much of those priorities as I can in your target budget range. A mentor of mine once described asking clients if their budget is “more like $2,000 or more like $20,000” - even a ballpark helps me to pull together ideas and be efficient with your planning time. I promise to make gorgeous pieces, whether large or small.
Connie and David’s wedding was that time in the fall when the dahlias just sing and the vibrant colors against the changing leaves in Michigan are so perfect. Locally grown dahlias, textures, and foliages, and pops of my favorite blue viburnum berries. It was a bold, beautiful collection of fall flowers for a beautiful celebration at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Captured so beautifully by Lola Grace Photography.
Beautiful fall colors in these florals for Sam and Andrew at St. John’s Resort in Plymouth! The dahlias were just gorgeous and this was the very last of the season’s cherry caramel phlox! Thank you Liv in the Moment Photography for these beautiful images!
It was a perfect summer celebration for Michael and Andrew at Frutig Farms Misty Farm. The floral decor was natural, lush, classic, with purples, golden yellows, blues, creams, and lots of lush foliages. I just love decorating the wedding ceremony arch here - it feels like a perfect blank canvas with trees framing it and giving it all a perfect natural feel. Adding blooms here gives it that splash of color and brightness to feel celebratory. Looking back at these images, I just love how the olive and eucalyptus give some movement to the arch decor - it’s so great to have the perfect textural foliages at the right time int he season! The greens added inside the tent brought a little more natural feel. Congratulations Andrew & Michael - it was a joy being a part of your celebration!

Ending the year with a beautiful elopement at Cornman Farms in December. All the coziness of a winter wedding, with enough sunshine for an outside ceremony in front of the gorgeous white house with festive garlands on the balcony. A winter flower palette can be such fun - this one featured mauve, lavender, amethyst purple with amnesia roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, thistle, clematis, fern, eucalyptus, and matthiola. Thank you to Adore Wedding Photography for these beautiful images.
So excited to share with you images from S&C’s stunning autumn wedding at Ann Arbor’s Frutig Farms The Valley. These two families were a complete joy to work with and planned so many lush, beautiful details. It was all captured so perfectly by fantastic Abby Rose Photo. Sophisticated, joyful, natural, beautiful - this was perfect. Warmest congratulations!
Recently converted lover of winter weddings here. All the coziness and warmth and joy - when it’s cold outside and there’s candlelight inside, and it’s just so romantic. This wedding at Ann Arbor’s Cobblestone Farm and reception at Weber’s was just gorgeous and an honor to be a part of. I loved this lush color palette of jewel toned cranberry, amethyst purple, navy blue, reds, and lots of textured foliages. So thrilled to share these beautiful images with you from Matt + Ashley Photography.
All the colors!! It’s such a privilege when a client asks for something bold and untraditional and beautiful and lets you run with the design. And when I saw this gorgeous brown dress - totally inspired! It was an honor to get to create these pieces for M&A’s Gandy Dancer wedding. So much color and texture and a little bit of all the autumn ombre colors! Thank you Alison of First Comes Love Photo for these stunning images.
All the autumn colors and textures coming together in this one! Anna and Fletcher had a beautiful wedding at Frutig Farms Misty Farm in Ann Arbor with a beautiful outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Anna asked for all the colors and textures of fall, and there were dahlias, scabiosa, berries, amaranthus, garden roses in all the blush, golden, rust, burgundy, purple tones of the season. The head table featured foliage garlands and centerpieces all down a long captain’s table. And the beautiful cake by Sweet Heather Anne featured all the autumnal colors. All these gorgeous images are by Amanda Dumouchelle - she captured so much joy with this group! Congratulations Anna & Fletcher!
