Downtown Ann Arbor is just gorgeous in the fall - it’s such a lovely time for a wedding when all your friends and family can walk downtown for drinks and brunch and enjoy all the new art and murals downtown - so special! It was such a joy to get to create these flowers for Miranda and Harry’s wedding downtown - with a ceremony at the Ann Arbor Art Center and reception at Zingerman’s Greyline. The Greyline is a freshly renovated old downtown bus station, with the classic bus station signage still out front and a sophisticated, retro vibe inside. I loved designing these chuppah flowers against the brick walls at the Ann Arbor Art Center - a perfect warm terracotta tone for an autumn day. Thank you to Abby Rose Photo for these beautiful images!
It was a perfect summer celebration for Michael and Andrew at Frutig Farms Misty Farm. The floral decor was natural, lush, classic, with purples, golden yellows, blues, creams, and lots of lush foliages. I just love decorating the wedding ceremony arch here - it feels like a perfect blank canvas with trees framing it and giving it all a perfect natural feel. Adding blooms here gives it that splash of color and brightness to feel celebratory. Looking back at these images, I just love how the olive and eucalyptus give some movement to the arch decor - it’s so great to have the perfect textural foliages at the right time int he season! The greens added inside the tent brought a little more natural feel. Congratulations Andrew & Michael - it was a joy being a part of your celebration!

Yes, yes! To requests for all the color! These ombre wedding shower flowers were a dream! Bold, colorful clouds of all the colors of the rainbow. These past few months have had more requests for lots of color than ever before, and I wonder if it’s this extra joy at gathering and celebrating after pandemic and fewer gatherings - getting back out there!
Michelle and Stephen’s wedding flowers - the orchids of dreams! Just gorgeous - elegant, sophisticated, with a perfect pop of magenta orchids. It all came together perfectly - stunning! So grateful I got to know these lovely people - a true joy to get to celebrate with them.

The outside spaces at Frutig Farms The Valley are just magical. It’s amazing to have a perfectly serene, natural space with long views of waving grasses in the sun - just ten minutes from town. It’s such a special place! It was a joy to get to create these pieces for Max and Molly, who waited patiently to get to celebrate with family and friends. Lots of greens and textures and eucalyptus, and blush and burgundy blooms for a natural and sophisticated feel. Gold accents in the candles for a warm glow. Congratulations, Max and Molly! So worth the wait! Ramona and Dan were so patient with rescheduling their wedding. I believe meeting with Ramona and her mom in person in 2019 was the last in person meeting I had before everything moved virtual in March. So it was a really long wait until their December 2021 wedding. The plan was always to celebrate at The Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit, but the change to a December wedding I think really enhanced the elegant, sophisticated, feel. All the candlelight and the soft gold colors in a romantically lit room - it was gorgeous. I loved adding a bold pop of raspberry, cranberry, blush, apricot, and gold tones into the flowers. This was all shot so beautifully by Nicole Haley Photography - so many beautiful details - Ramona’s Indian ceremony outfit and her reception dress! And the cake by Sweet Heather Anne that matched her dress is just stunning. Congratulations Ramona and Dan - it was a joy to celebrate with you!

Nothing gets me into the fall spirit than having hundreds of sunflowers in the studio! Loved getting to create these pieces for this sunflower-loving bride, bringing in all the rich, classic autumnal tones - burgundy, amethyst, goldeny yellows all with lovely textured greens. Loved using the little viking pom (mini little sunflower-like blooms) on the flower girl basket and boutonnieres. Congratulations, Gabby and Avery!

Ending the year with a beautiful elopement at Cornman Farms in December. All the coziness of a winter wedding, with enough sunshine for an outside ceremony in front of the gorgeous white house with festive garlands on the balcony. A winter flower palette can be such fun - this one featured mauve, lavender, amethyst purple with amnesia roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, thistle, clematis, fern, eucalyptus, and matthiola. Thank you to Adore Wedding Photography for these beautiful images.
This color palette was designed to compliment the bride’s absolutely gorgeous, dress with stunning and intricate detail and embroidery. The dress included embroidered ranunculus, and so we wanted to feature beautiful ranunculus and a collection of soft textures to add a soft suite of complimentary colors that were also subtle. It was a delicate mix of wanting to have plenty of interest and texture in the flowers, but not too much. We added a bit more color to the mix for the reception space, to add a bit more color and interest. Thank you for these beautiful images, Nicole Haley Photography!
Every detail was so thoughtfully put together for Melissa and Matt at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Melissa’s mom owned her own floral shop, so it was a real honor to be entrusted with Melissa’s wedding Flowers. With an elegant Beauty and the Beast theme, we used rich reds, burgundys, mauve, pink and golden tones. Thank you so much to Lola Grace Photography for these beautiful images.
