When Colleen and I first discussed her wedding flowers she said they were doing maize and blue, and wanted it to be a sophisticated and elegant version.  They perfectly combined an elegant, classic aesthetic at the University of Michigan Museum of Art with fun, spirited touches of Michigan and Ann Arbor.  And oh my goodness, that dress!! Colleen's bouquet featured white peonies, garden roses, freesias, pale yellow parrot tulips, and white cymbidium orchids with very pale yellow throats.  Silver dollar eucalyptus and dusty miller added a splash of texture.  Oh, that dress!

The reception centerpieces featured glass compote dishes filled with white hydrangea and freesia and pale yellow garden roses and white mini cymbidium orchids.

So excited to share these images of a very special September wedding at the gorgeous and elegant Dearborn Inn. It was truly a special wedding to be a part of - Megan is a friend I knew back when Red Poppy was just starting, and even after she moved away to Chicago she remembered me and I was honored she entrusted me with her wedding flowers!  It was truly wonderful working this family!

The flowers were timeless and elegant, classic features with a little twist of texture and foliage.  We used blush and ivory garden roses and accents of burgundy with ranunculus and astrantia.  Megan's bouquet included ivory and blush garden roses, white freesia, blushing bride protea.  I remember we discussed wanting the blush and burgundy tones to capture the summer to autumn transition and I just loved following that inspiration.

This bouquet just makes me feel summer and sunshine, and oh, that's such a nice thought!  It was so nice working with Laura & Mike on their wedding flowers for the wedding at St. Mary's Student Parish and reception at the Michigan League.  I remember Laura describing that she wanted something unique and not overly trendy - and I was so excited about this brief!  Her bouquet was full and lush and natural and a little bit classic and elegant, too.  I loved this mix of colors with lavender little silver roses, caramel antique garden roses, burgundy astrantia, yellow freesia.  Thank you so much BTW photography for these lovely images - beautiful images in the University of Michigan Law quad - quintessential Ann Arbor!  Event coordination by Twofoot Creative. We used Tracy for our wedding flowers. From the beginning Tracy was really easy to work with, and most importantly, honest about what our budget would realistically cover. In the end we DIY'ed our centerpieces to leave the budget for the personal flowers and a couple large arrangements for the ceremony. Although we were probably we spending less than her normal clients, I didn't feel like her customer service or attention was lacking.

Leading up to the wedding I began to get nervous that I hadn't spend enough time thinking about our arrangements or understanding exactly what we were getting, but the flowers blew me away. I loved my bouquet and the large centerpieces were gorgeous. I highly recommend working with Tracy, especially if you are a bride that is looking for one less thing to worry about.

Just a quick snap of these succulent boutonnieres and wrist corsages this weekend for a sophisticated Zingerman's on Fourth wedding - loved all the texture!

It was so wonderful to hear from Tessa and Darin this autumn.  It's always a special treat to receive photos of wedding flowers from my couples, and this was especially lovely.  Tessa and Darin are just wonderful people and they were so kind and fun with each other, and they were my first wedding after taking my maternity leave at the beginning of the year.  They were so patient with me being away from email for a bit, and their warmth and understanding made me feel how lucky I am to be doing this - to have the flexibility to spend some extra time with my baby and to work with great people who are kind enough to be understanding and celebrate these family times!  I was so looking forward to their wedding and I was so happy when Tessa and Darin stopped by the day before their wedding to pick up a few things, and I got to introduce my baby girl.  Congratulations, guys - thanks for the special memories! There are these moments when it feel like Christmas when photographers send images of a wedding and it's all the joy of seeing the happy couple celebrating and seeing your floral designs in action, and it's just so wonderful.  This is one of those times!  Thank you  The Compass Points Here for these gorgeous images from Lauren and Brandon's spring wedding at Misty Farm.  They were so wonderful to work with and I just was so looking forward to all the variety and texture in their flowers!  Lauren had some beautiful family glassware mailed in from Massachusetts, and I was also so thrilled that it all arrived safely and was so unique to work with.  The Compass Points Here captured everything so beautifully - even beautiful photos of the rain streaming down outside the barn doors that will be making people wish it rained on their big day!  Congratulations, Lauren and Brandon - so honored to have been a part of your celebration!

A little mix of the unexpected is always such fun!  Loved this bride's bouquet in shades of purple, peach, and yellow - it made for a gorgeous splash of wedding colors that were unique and fun and still elegant and classic all at the same time. I loved these purple and burgundy anemones and the lavender little silver spray roses together with peach ranunculus and queen anne's lace.

This wedding is a personal favorite for so, so many reasons.  I have been so excited to share these images with you of Natalie and Mike's blissful wedding last autumn at the University of Michigan's Matthaei Botanical Gardens.  I can't say enough how happy these images from Abby Rose make me, and just how beautifully she captured the joy of this truly wonderful couple (and Abby's shared even more amazing images of their day!).  So truly honored to have been a part of this celebration!  

Loved this cascading bouquet with lots of lush, natural foliage, brown lotus pods, cream majolica spray roses (just bursting open!), a hint of caramel and blush garden roses, and feathers!  This was for a lovely wedding at Misty Farm in Ann Arbor - can't wait to see the pro photos of this lovely couple!
