Ending the year with a beautiful elopement at Cornman Farms in December. All the coziness of a winter wedding, with enough sunshine for an outside ceremony in front of the gorgeous white house with festive garlands on the balcony. A winter flower palette can be such fun - this one featured mauve, lavender, amethyst purple with amnesia roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, thistle, clematis, fern, eucalyptus, and matthiola. Thank you to Adore Wedding Photography for these beautiful images.
This color palette was designed to compliment the bride’s absolutely gorgeous, dress with stunning and intricate detail and embroidery. The dress included embroidered ranunculus, and so we wanted to feature beautiful ranunculus and a collection of soft textures to add a soft suite of complimentary colors that were also subtle. It was a delicate mix of wanting to have plenty of interest and texture in the flowers, but not too much. We added a bit more color to the mix for the reception space, to add a bit more color and interest. Thank you for these beautiful images, Nicole Haley Photography!
Every detail was so thoughtfully put together for Melissa and Matt at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Melissa’s mom owned her own floral shop, so it was a real honor to be entrusted with Melissa’s wedding Flowers. With an elegant Beauty and the Beast theme, we used rich reds, burgundys, mauve, pink and golden tones. Thank you so much to Lola Grace Photography for these beautiful images.
Our first wedding of 2021 was just magic! I had been looking forward to this one all winter! M & G had the most perfect elopement at Cornman Farms, and all of these images captured so beautifully by Adore Wedding Photography. They used bold, beautiful colors, and we highlighted tulips as a nod to G’s Dutch heritage. Everything about their celebration makes me fall in love with intimate celebrations - just so romantic and beautiful, and so special. So thrilled to be a part of it!
2020 brought so many challenges. So many weddings were rescheduled and changed and adjusted, and we were so grateful for those that could celebrate safely. Alana and Guillaume changed their wedding from UMMA to Alana’s home, and their celebration was just beautiful. So many beautiful colors and tones and textures made for bouquets and arrangements that were at home “at home” but also elegant and special. It was the best of both both worlds - a special, elegant celebration with the unique comforts of being at home. The chuppah design was bright and lush, and we loved all these beautiful images by Amanda Dumouchelle of Inly.
It was such a joy when Jocelyn called me to discuss wedding flowers for her September intimate wedding. It was all being arranged in a few weeks time, in a flurry of excitement, joy, and fun. I remember thinking that her friends and family must be feeling all of that with something to look forward to, in a season with so many things being cancelled. This was such a joy! Congratulations to Jocelyn and Ethan! Beautiful photos by Lisa Tune Photography. Reception at the Gandy Dancer, Ann Arbor.
This is the “go for it!” bouquet in florist language. All the autumn flowers - all of them - all of the colors, tones, textures, and with a full cascade. Yes, please!! Such a dream getting to create a full cascading bouquet in all the autumn colors and textures! Thank you, Amanda and Josh, this was such a dream! Beautiful photos by BPrice Photography.
This was the time last year when the white lilac was in perfect bloom at just the right time. It was magnificent. Though we can often order lots of different flowers and materials, nature still has some special things that you can only really get locally and for a limited amount of time. So when you get one of those special things at the right time, it can feel that bit extra special - a little bit of magic.
And I couldn’t have been more happy for all of these beautiful things for Shannon and Michael. Everything about this day was joyful. Their friends and family were so fantastic and fun - I remember all during set up this group was just having a wonderful time - it felt like a celebration already and it was a joy to be a part of it.
Together with the lilac, these pieces featured anemone, garden roses, hellebore, orchids, ranunculus, astrantia - so many beautiful things! We had the most amazing chuppah by modernly events and I just loved the chuppah decor here. So many lovely accents in classic navy and art deco design details (those bridesmaid dresses!) and the cake! There is joy in every gorgeous picture by Matt & Ashley - there is not a one in the bunch where these two aren’t enjoying every minute. Beautiful, classic, joyful family celebration - it was such an honor to be a part of this very special day.

It was the most amazing sunrise setting up for this beautiful wedding at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms this past autumn. We don’t usually get to see the sunrise during a set up, but we did this time - and it was so inspiring! We were up early creating this stunning mandap design with hanging white snapdragons and smilax vine. The individual snapdragons swayed just slightly in the breeze - it was a special spot. The reception tent decor was sophisticated and natural, too - centerpieces of white candles, white snapdragons and lavender on navy blue linens. Thank you to Melanie Reyes Photography for these beautiful images and Twofoot Creative for planning and coordination.
As I write this, we are staying home and staying safe…. it’s early May and spring is just now starting to arrive. It feels extra special to get to share images from the last wedding we did flowers for in February at the Michigan League Ballroom. Looking back now, it’s so fantastic for Lauren & Vince, who got to celebrate this wedding with friends and family - just a few weeks before we would all be staying at home. We had no idea at the time - it sounds like such a different world then. But seeing these reminds me that we will all get to celebrating again, and it will be beautiful!
