Cornman Farms Wedding | Spring wedding flowers by red poppy floral design ann arbor

It was such a joy to get to work with Kara and Andrew and their family on the beautiful flowers for their Zingerman’s Cornman Farms wedding. It was a perfect spring day and the colors and the garden feel of these blooms was joyful and vibrant, soft and elegant. The chuppah was created by the groom’s father and we added lovely greens and floral accents, but we kept it simple and let the special made-with-love structure shine. We created a beautiful focal piece at the head table in the center of the tent - an elevated floral structure that brought soft color and a sense of something special into the tent for dining. Thank you to Chelsea Brown Photography for these beautiful images - they are stunning!

Frutig Farm The Valley Autumn Wedding | Red Poppy Wedding Flowers

Fall is the best for texture and warm, rich tones - it was such a joy to get to create these rich, autumnal pieces for Elise and Andrew who got to have their celebration in the beautiful open fields at Frutig Farm The Valley in Ann Arbor. The warm, rich tones and textures were the perfect feel of fall on a day warm enough to be outside and enjoy the scenic views at The Valley. Just gorgeous :) Thank you Carey Ahn Photography for these images.

Autumn Downtown Ann Arbor Wedding | Red Poppy Wedding Flowers

Downtown Ann Arbor is just gorgeous in the fall - it’s such a lovely time for a wedding when all your friends and family can walk downtown for drinks and brunch and enjoy all the new art and murals downtown - so special! It was such a joy to get to create these flowers for Miranda and Harry’s wedding downtown - with a ceremony at the Ann Arbor Art Center and reception at Zingerman’s Greyline. The Greyline is a freshly renovated old downtown bus station, with the classic bus station signage still out front and a sophisticated, retro vibe inside. I loved designing these chuppah flowers against the brick walls at the Ann Arbor Art Center - a perfect warm terracotta tone for an autumn day. Thank you to Abby Rose Photo for these beautiful images!

Ombre wedding shower | Ann Arbor wedding flowers

Yes, yes! To requests for all the color! These ombre wedding shower flowers were a dream! Bold, colorful clouds of all the colors of the rainbow. These past few months have had more requests for lots of color than ever before, and I wonder if it’s this extra joy at gathering and celebrating after pandemic and fewer gatherings - getting back out there!

The outside spaces at Frutig Farms The Valley are just magical. It’s amazing to have a perfectly serene, natural space with long views of waving grasses in the sun - just ten minutes from town. It’s such a special place! It was a joy to get to create these pieces for Max and Molly, who waited patiently to get to celebrate with family and friends. Lots of greens and textures and eucalyptus, and blush and burgundy blooms for a natural and sophisticated feel. Gold accents in the candles for a warm glow. Congratulations, Max and Molly! Beautiful images by Nicole Haley Photography.

Cornman Farms intimate wedding | Red Poppy Wedding Flowers

Ending the year with a beautiful elopement at Cornman Farms in December. All the coziness of a winter wedding, with enough sunshine for an outside ceremony in front of the gorgeous white house with festive garlands on the balcony. A winter flower palette can be such fun - this one featured mauve, lavender, amethyst purple with amnesia roses, snapdragons, lisianthus, thistle, clematis, fern, eucalyptus, and matthiola. Thank you to Adore Wedding Photography for these beautiful images.

Birmingham Country Club Wedding | Red Poppy Floral Design

This color palette was designed to compliment the bride’s absolutely gorgeous, dress with stunning and intricate detail and embroidery. The dress included embroidered ranunculus, and so we wanted to feature beautiful ranunculus and a collection of soft textures to add a soft suite of complimentary colors that were also subtle. It was a delicate mix of wanting to have plenty of interest and texture in the flowers, but not too much. We added a bit more color to the mix for the reception space, to add a bit more color and interest. Thank you for these beautiful images, Nicole Haley Photography!

Cornman Farms Intimate Wedding | Ann Arbor Wedding Flowers

Our first wedding of 2021 was just magic! I had been looking forward to this one all winter! M & G had the most perfect elopement at Cornman Farms, and all of these images captured so beautifully by Adore Wedding Photography. They used bold, beautiful colors, and we highlighted tulips as a nod to G’s Dutch heritage. Everything about their celebration makes me fall in love with intimate celebrations - just so romantic and beautiful, and so special. So thrilled to be a part of it!

Ann Arbor summer wedding | Ann Arbor wedding flowers

2020 brought so many challenges. So many weddings were rescheduled and changed and adjusted, and we were so grateful for those that could celebrate safely. Alana and Guillaume changed their wedding from UMMA to Alana’s home, and their celebration was just beautiful. So many beautiful colors and tones and textures made for bouquets and arrangements that were at home “at home” but also elegant and special. It was the best of both both worlds - a special, elegant celebration with the unique comforts of being at home. The chuppah design was bright and lush, and we loved all these beautiful images by Amanda Dumouchelle of Inly.
